Applications :
- Zinc Hydroxystannate (ZHS) can replace Molybdenum Trioxide in PVC FRLS cable compound
- ZHS was developed initially for use on halogen containing polymer formulation, especially flexible PVC for wires and cables
- Zinc Hydroxystannate (ZHS) can provide Oxygen Index as well as Smoke Suppressant propertiesZinc Hydroxystannate (ZHS) can provide Oxygen Index as well as Smoke Suppressant properties
- By adding Antimony Trioxide you get oxygen index but smoke increases, while by adding ZHS you get oxygen index as well as smoke suppressant properties
Properties:
The excellent flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of ZHS have been demonstrated for the following materials
- PVC ( Rigid and Flexible), FRLS CABLE compound
- Polyester Resins
- Alkyd Resin-Based Paints
- Polychloroprene ( Neoprene)
- Chlorosulphoned Polyethylene ( Hypalon )
- Polyamide ( Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 )
- Epoxy Resins and Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Co-Polymer
- EVA, HFFR cable compound
